Studied in New Zealand under NAIDA HEARN, who subsequently became a successful composer. Also studied under HAROLD MEADOWS. Jack Price has an extensive catalogue of theme music and songs. Past successes include songs recorded by TOM JONES, THE TROGGS and other No. l artists, plus a number of songs performed on national television by, for example, DICKIE VALENTINE on THE FROST PROGRAMME and ROY HUDD on his own show. Particular expertise in Rock Steady and Reggae music. Accredited in a MERCURY RECORDS international newsletter for helping to bring the Rock Steady dance craze to the British music scene in the late 60s/early 70s, having produced a great number of albums and many singles during this period. An experienced sound engineer. Also acknowledged by TRIDENT STUDIOS, London during the change in analogue studios from 4 to 8 track, (pre digital) as the first producer to release an 8 track recording in London on his own label, Crystal Records. A session musician from the mid-60s to the mid-80s and worked with JOHNNY COLEMAN (LULU'S MD), ANDY BOWEN (STATUS QUO), PETER FRAMPTON (HUMBLE PIE), PHILIP CHENG (ROD STEWARTS bass player) KENNY JONES of THE SMALL FACES and David Snell (LONDON PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA).
